- Security Patrol: Random inspections of properties or buildings when they are most vulnerable. Prevention of property damages, trespassers and break-ins. Informing clients of security or maintenance related problems.
- Alarm Response: Responding to alarms that have not been set, alarms that are going off and turning off alarms so that first employees will not set them off.
- Unlocks/Lock Downs: Making sure that any buildings or gates you need unlocked or locked up are done in a timely fashion.
- Shift Change Escort: Ensuring that employees make it to there cars safely during shift changes.
My experience with security patrol started with Pinkerton, as you may know it was the oldest Security Company in the world. I was the Patrol Sergeant for the Spokane area. When a larger company purchased Pinkerton I stayed on and continued to work patrol as the Patrol/Inspection Supervisor. I am now starting my own patrol service in my home state. I was also a rescue swimmer and import security watch stander in the US Coast Guard.
